Teen dies in workplace accident near Drumheller

A teenage boy is dead after a workplace accident near Drumheller.

The Alberta teen died at a gravel site belonging to Arjon Construction on Saturday, according toJanice Schroeder with Occupational Health and Safety.

OHS is investigating and has sent inspectors to the site, she said.

Work at the gravelsite has been shut down.

Schroeder said witnesses and the employerare being interviewed and equipment is also being inspected.

OHS will also speak with theemployer about safety systems and worker training programs.
