Teen girl killed in crash north of Lethbridge

A 14-year-old girl was killed in a collision near Lethbridge on Tuesday morning.

A 14-year-old girl was killed in a collision north ofLethbridge on Tuesday morning.

The Coaldale RCMPand EMS were called to the intersection of Township Road 102 and Range Road 221 at about 9:40 a.m., according to a news release.

The teen who died was a passenger in one of two vehicles that collided in the rural intersection, police said.

She was from nearby Diamond City, a hamlet about 13 kilometres north of Lethbridge.

Two males, the drivers of the vehicles, were taken to Lethbridge Regional Hospital, one in serious but stable condition and the other in stable condition, EMS officials said.

An RCMP collision reconstructionist was called in to help determine how the accident happened.
