Trailers have been set up in three locations at the Siksika First Nation east of Calgary for the people displaced by June's flooding.

Floodwaters did extensive damage to thecommunity, displacingroughly 1,000 residents. Some people have been living in tents since the flood and the ATCO trailers provided are seen as one step forward on what some say will be a long road to recovery.

"There's still a lot of people feeling lost and it's not quite back to the way it was before," said Wesley Water Chief, spokesperson for the community. "There's still a long ways to go."

Volunteers are still needed to help repair homes.

About 167 homes were damaged during the flood.
