Police in Calgary are asking for help as they try to find two men they think can help with a murder investigation.

Mark Anthony Mariani, 47, was found dead in a parking lot in the 1500 block of 16th Avenue N.W. near a strip mall across from North Hill Centre on the morning of Oct. 3 last year.

On Tuesday investigators released photos of two men they think were in the area at the time.

Officials know the two men are not involved in the homicide, but want to speak with them, police said.

The first man is Asian, in his late 30s or early 40s. He was driving a dark sedan, possibly a Nissan Sentra, police said.

The second man is Caucasian, in his early 30s. He was wearing black sweatpants with a white stripe down the leg. His shirt was blue or black, and white and red with a white oval on the front.

Anyone with information about the identity of the two men or the homicide is asked to call police or Crime Stoppers.

Mariani's death was the 12th homicide out of 14 in 2010 in Calgary.
