2 teens dead, 2 in hospital after single-vehicle collision near Springbank

Two teens are dead and two are in life-threatening condition after a single-vehicle collision west of Calgary in the early hours of Thursday.

All occupants of the vehicle were females between 16 and 17 years old

Two people were killed in a singe-vehicle collision on Thursday at around 12 a.m. The crash occurred along Range Road 32, between Township Road 251a and 250. (Google Maps)

Two teens are dead and two in hospital after a single-vehicle crash west of Calgary early Thursday.

Cochrane RCMPsay the crash was reported around 12:30 a.m. on Range Road 32,between TownshipRoads250and251A, which is near the Springbank airport.

When emergency crews arrived, two people were already dead, according to a newsrelease.

The other two occupants of the vehicle were taken toFoothills hospital, where one remains in life-threatening condition and the other in stable condition.

All the occupantsof the vehicle were female and 16 to 17 years old.

Range Road 32 was closed for several hours as RCMP investigated the collisionbut is now open.

RCMP told CBCNews that the vehicle had rolled off the road.

It is unknown whether speed or alcohol were a factor, said RCMP.
