Three months after residents were allowed to return to the Rocky Mountain tourist town after a devastating wildfire, Jasper residents and businesses are gearing up for the winter season once again.

Former Humboldt Bronco hockey player Ryan Straschnitzki has an entourage these days complete with cameras and microphones now that he's changed his path to the Paralympics from the ice to the hardwood.

Julie-Ann McNeilly and her brother have spent hundreds of hours bringing new life to Johnny's Store, a shop first built in Namao, Alta., in 1902. The store has been closed since 2018, but inspiration struck the siblings after their father's death and it is set to reopen later this month.
