ALERT makes record-breaking steroid bust

More than 350,000 pills and 10,000 vials were seized in Edmonton recently in what is believed to be the largest illegal steroid bust by a Canadian police agency.

The Alberta Law Enforcement Response Team estimates the steroids were valued at roughly $10 million.

Police also seized more than three dozen types of chemical precursors and additives.

ALERT was established and is funded by the Alberta Government. Nearly 400 municipal police, RCMP, and sheriffs work on the team.
