Justice Sheilah Martin said she was introduced to Alberta in the best way possible through a scholarship that allowed her to continue her studies.

St. Aidan's Community Church, five kilometres northwest of the town of Barrhead, was one of two area churches intentionally burned in December. Members of the church society are raising funds to restore St. Aidan's.

The schools waitlist has names of over 1,000 students and more are added to it daily. The school principal, Abraham Abougouche, says some students have been on the waitlist for almost six years.

The two-lane highway is potholed, with narrow shoulders that are crumbling and decaying.Alberta Transportation says a paving project is expected to begin this year.
