The Battle of Alberta has reached the mayors office.

On Saturday Calgary Mayor Naheed Nenshi and Edmontons Don Iveson entered a friendly bet ahead of the CFL West division final between the Calgary Stampeders and Edmonton Eskimos.

If the Eskimos beat the Stampeders, Nenshi will donate 100 pounds of food to Edmonton's food bank. But ifthe Stampeders make it to the Grey Cup final, Iveson will have to donate the same amount to Calgarys food bank.

No word on whether the bet will force a mayor to wearthe opposing citys team jersey at council next week.
