Edmonton police seek tips in disappearance of missing man

Police have released surveillance images of a masked man or men who may have information on a missing persons case. Wen Fu Guan was last seen on Aug. 24. His vehicle was found a few days later. It had been set on fire.

Edmonton police have released surveillance images of a masked man or two menwho may have information on a missing person's case.

Wen Fu Guan, 31, was last seen leaving his home around 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 24.

He was driving a white 2003 Mitsubishi Outlander with Alberta plate BRL4979.

A few daysaftre he was last seen,police located Guan's vehicle near 113th Street and 113th Avenue.

It had been set on fire.

In a statement issued Thursday, investigators released four surveillance images. The images are of one man or two different menpolice are not sure which.

The person or persons in the photographs are "believed to have information which may be helpful in this investigation," police said.

In each image, including one which appears to have been taken inside a TD Bank, the subject uses his coat or a towel to shield his face from view of the camera.

Guan has dark brown eyes and black hair. He wears glasses. He isabout five-foot-six inches tall and weighs 120 lbs.

Police said his disappearance is out of character and "there are concerns for his well-being."

Anyone with information on the case is asked to call Edmonton police or Crime Stoppers.
