The family of a missing Edmonton woman who was last seen by her family in August 2013 held a walk to raise awareness of her disappearance.

The family decided to host the walk in the hopes that they could raise awareness about Denes disappearance, and someone would come forward with new information.

Theres always somebody that sees a person last, said Denes sister Candice Lhommecourt. We want to know who that is and we want to know what happened to my sister.

The walk began at Churchill Square Saturday afternoon, and included speeches, traditional smudge and prayer ceremonies. Aboriginal drummers and singers performed while the participants walked.

We have so many questions and no answers, said Lhommecourt. We just want new leads and someone to come forward with some information about my sister.

Dene is described as being aboriginal, five-foot-seven, weighing 111 pounds with brown eyes and brown hair.
