There is still no clear solution in sight for condo owners one year after hundreds of them were given minutes toevacuate a Fort McMurray complexin northern Alberta inthe middle of the night.

The Penhorwood Condominium Complex was found to be structurally unsafe.

Since then Aruna Baker and her husband have been struggling to cover rent on top of mortgage payments.

The Bakers arealso expecting a second child this summer. At this point, they are trying to stay positive.

"WhenI go on mat leave, how amI going to survive with the two mortgages," she said.

"It's a deep concern thatI have thatI don't want to bring up yet because I like to let nature take its course. We're not bad people ...good things come to people who do good right? I'm holding on to that."

Christine Burton, president of the condo association, says many of the owners are in financial trouble and the stress has led to serious health problems for some.

"I speak to the owners nearly every day, and those calls are becoming increasingly desperate as people try to figure out when this is going to resolve itself so they can get on with their lives," she said.

Condo owners votedlast October to demolish the building and rebuild.

They hope to borrow $35 million and pay it back, a plan thatdepends on winning acomplicated lawsuit against the builder.
