Iveson offered his comments on the election of Jim Prentice as PC party leader

Mayor Don Iveson said he will be meeting with Premier-Designate Jim Prentice some time this week.

Prentice was elected Progressive Conservative leader on the weekend and is expected to be sworn-in as Albertas 16th premier early next week.

On his monthly call-in on Edmonton AM Monday, Iveson said he spoke to Prentice last last week about a number of municipal issues last last week.

Calgary Mayor Naheed Nenshirecently expressed his frustration with how vague the three PC eadership candidates were on issues affecting the provinces two largest cities.

Iveson said that he isnt as annoyed as his Calgary counterpart. Instead he believes that Prentice has identified the right issues that need more discussion.
