Neil Young postpones 'Honour The Treaties' benefit show

Neil Young is postponing his benefit concert in support of a northern Albertanfirst nation's fight against oilsands development.

"I am sad to say that I must postpone the July 3 Honour the Treaties concert at Edmonton'sRexallPlace in support of theAthabascaChipewyanFirst Nation's legal defense," he saidin a media release.

The first nation believesoilsands development is destroyingtheir traditional land and infringes on their legal rights.

Young saidnew dates will be announced in the near future.

The release said fans will receiverefunds.
