New high-tech parking meters in downtown Edmonton

Some of Edmontons aging coin-operated meters are being replaced with high-tech $12,000 machines.

As CBCs Kristina Partsinevelos found out, most Edmontonians who gave the new machines a try seemed to take to the new machines just fine.

The only downfall isthe new machines prevent drivers from benefiting from any extra time left on the meter by a previous user.
