The Edmonton parents of seven-month-old triplets with eye cancer say they are overwhelmed by the kindness of strangers.

Last week, Richard and Leslie Low learned one of their sons has cancer outside his eye, meaning he will have to be treated at Sick Kids Hospital in Toronto.

The family put out a call for a short-term rental on social media and the number of responses caught them by surprise more than 2,000 emails.

It just goes to show how many good people there are out there, Richard Low said.

How many people are willing to give up personal comfort for us. And it is very surprising and at the same time we are very thankful.

The family is now sifting through the emails. They hope to arrange their accommodation before returning to Toronto next week.

Mason, Luke and Thomas were born in December 2013. They were diagnosed with retinoblastoma, a cancer of the eye, in February.
