A new exhibit at the Art Gallery of Alberta explores more than three decades of queer history in Edmonton.

The Institute for Sexual Minority Studies & Services paired up with the Edmonton Pride Festival Society, Edmonton Heritage council and City of Edmonton to create the Edmonton Queer History Project.

The project seeks to tells several decadesof stories from the Edmonton LGBTQ community in an interactive exhibit at the gallery.

"Everyone can come and see these stories of resilience and struggle, humour and heart," said Michelle Lavoie, the exhibition's curator."We've come such a long way."

The exhibition will run from June 5 to June 21.
