The man accused in the shooting of two Mounties near Killam, Alta., in February will have to wait until April 11 to learn whether a judge will grant himbail.

Sawyer Robison, 27, appeared in court Tuesday morning ontwo counts of attempted murder and 15 new chargeslaid by the Crown.

Most of the new charges are related to restricted or prohibited weapons, including a Glock .22 handgun, a Paraordnance P14 .45 handgun, Smith and Wesson 460.45 handgun, Norinico semi-automatic rifle, CQ-A-1 semi-automatic rifle and a Steyrmannlicher rifle.

Information laid by the Crown alleges the serial numbers had been removed on four of the weapons.

Robison has pleaded not guilty to all 17 charges.

Defence lawyer Brian Beresh told reporters outside court that despite the wait, his client is doing well.

"This is one of the strongest situations I've seen in terms of support," Beresh said. "A community that comes together where on an issue you would expect division. There's support of the police, there's support of him and I'm absolutely amazed."

The two officers were shot and wounded Feb. 7 while they were executing a search warrant for aweapon at the rural home of Robison's uncle, Brad Clark.

Clark was found dead in the house after the shoot-out.
