Two Edmonton homes hit by firebombs

Two homes in southeast Edmonton were hit with Molotov cocktails on Wednesday, but police said they don't believe the incidents are connected.

Two homes in southeast Edmonton were hit with Molotov cocktails on Wednesday, but police said they don't believe the incidents are connected.

The first house, located at 33rd Street and 28A Avenue, sustained damage from spilled gasoline when someone tossed two bottles into the home.The bottles didn't catch on fire.

The residents werehome at the time but were not hurt, police said.A white car was seen speeding away from the house.

A rear deck at a second house in the area of 23rd Street and 35A Avenue was set on fire by a Molotov cocktail around 3:30 Wednesday afternoon.

Police said a group of men allegedly threw several Molotov cocktails at the house. The residentsof the home have not been co-operative with policeand have provided no information about the incident.
