The epic endeavour to raise money for the Movember Campaign concluded at 6 a.m. Sunday with Deacon bringing in more than $2,800 in donations.

The University of Alberta student wanted to use his 24-hour treadmill trek to raise awareness of men's mental health issues as well as cancer research.

The complete day is the longest Deacon has run, his previous record being 14 hours.

During the run he was supported by other students running on the treadmill next to him, plus a constant supply of running-friendly food and drinks.
