Arkells announce summer show at Tim Hortons Field
June stadium show includes performances from Cold War Kids, Bishop Briggs and Ellevator
Hamilton rock darlings Arkells just announced their only show in the Golden Horseshoe this summer, and it's on June 23 at Tim Hortons Field in Hamilton.
Tickets for the show go on sale on Thursday, Feb. 15 at 10 a.m. Ticketmaster "verified fan" presale tickets go on sale on Feb. 13.
On top of Arkells, there'll be performances by Bishop Briggs, Cold War Kids and Ellevator.
Frontman Max Kerman told CBC News that the band is especially excited for the show given what the field (and Ivor Wynne before it) means to the people of the city.
"The one thing about that stadium and the Ticats when they have a game, and you don't even have to love football but there's people of all walks of life there.
"On the right summer night, it's magical."
The band says a dollar from every ticket sold for the event will be donated to Refuge Hamilton Centre for Newcomer Health.
Arkells were just nominated for multiple Juno awards on the back of the band's latest single, Knocking at the Door.
