Police release photos of 2 suspects wanted for fatal stabbing of Carel Douse

The attack began inside a barbershop near the corner of King Street East and East Avenue North, according to investigators. They say Douse was then chased north on East Avenue by three male suspects to the front of a home where the stabbing continued.

Investigators have issued arrest warrants for two suspects wanted on first-degree murderfor the stabbing death of Carel Douse.

Police say the 33-year-old Hamilton man was found suffering from multiple stab wounds at a home on East Avenue North around 3 a.m. on May 18.

Douse was rushed to Hamilton General Hospital but died that afternoon.

A post mortem determined the preliminary cause of death was "multiple sharp force injuries," say police.

The attack began inside a barbershop near the corner of King Street East and East Avenue North, according to investigators. They say Douse, who was also known by the nickname Blakz,was then chased north on East Avenue by three men,to the front of a home where the stabbing continued.

Police say they've identified two of the suspects as 28-year-old Daniel Wise from Hamilton and 22-year-old Samitar Hassan from the Toronto area.They released photos of the two men and are asking for the public's help in locating them.

Officials say they expect to release information about the third suspect in the coming days.

Anyone withinformation about any of the suspects is asked to call 911.

A GoFundMe campaign set up on behalf of the Douse family is raising funds to cover funeral costs.

"Please keep the family and his friends in your prayers as we mourn the loss of an amazing soul that was deeply loved by everyone in his life," it reads.
