Cold weather is here to stay

Temperatures continue to plummet today as Hamilton's acting medical officer of health issued an extreme cold weather alert on Sunday. As of 7 a.m. Monday, the temperature was - 17 C, but felt more like - 23 C with the wind chill.

Temperatures continue to plummet today as Hamilton's acting medical officer of health issued an extreme cold weather alert on Sunday.

As of 7 a.m. Monday, the temperaturewas - 17 C, but felt more like - 23 C with the wind chill.

It won't warm up too much with a high of - 8 C expected, according to Environment Canada.

The federal weather agency anticipateswinds to pick up Monday morning to 20 km/h, bringing with it a mix of sun and cloud.
