AG1 driver was ticketed after police say he stopped suddenly and reversed into another vehicle to avoid a R.I.D.E. check in Niagara Falls over the long weekend.

The driver was one of 600 people stopped and questioned by officers about alcohol consumption.

His attempt to avoid the checkpoint didn't cause any injuries and only resulted in minor damage.

Police say they arrested and charged two other people with impaired driving during the holiday weekend.

One was arrested after a collision in Niagara Falls and the other while trying to cross the Peace Bridge in Fort Erie.
