Hamilton police arrest 3 people in 2 days for stunt driving on the same road

Hamilton police have arrested three people in two days for stunt driving on Regional Road 56.

For the third time in two days Hamilton police have arrestedsomeone for stunt driving on Regional Road 56.

Early this morning at approximately 5:35 a.m. police say they saya white 2011 Volkswagen Jetta'aggressivelypass' several vehicles.

Police say the driver was reaching speeds of 126km/h in a 60 km/h zone.

A 39-year-old Canfield man was arrested and charged with stunt driving and speeding.

On Tuesday, shortly before 10:00 p.m. police say they witnessed a brown 2000 Toyota Solaratravelling at speeds of 117 km/h in the 60 km/h.

A traffic stop was conducted and a 20-year-old Cayuga man was arrested.

During the investigation police say they found an open alcohol container in the vehicle.

The driver wascharged with counts of speeding, stunt driving, and driving with anopen alcohol container in a vehicle.

He will appear in court on April 26 to answer his charges.

On Monday, police say they arrested a 38-year-old Glanbrook man for stunt driving while impaired.

"We recognize these events have happened in a short amount of time and this area is on our radar," said Jerome Stewart,media relations officer for the Hamilton police.
