Hamilton man facing child porn charges

A Hamilton man is facing child pornography charges, police announced Thursday.

The National Child Exploitation Coordination Centre tipped off local police that someone using devices at a Hamilton address was uploading and distributing "multiple images of child pornography" in January, police say.

On Jan. 13, officers carried out search warrants at two Hamilton residences, and seized phones, tablets and computers. A forensic examination of the devices is ongoing, police say.

A 21-year-old Hamilton man was charged with possession and distribution of child pornography.

He was held for a bail hearing.
