Hamilton teen charged after mischief at house party

A Hamilton teen faces seven charges after a house party in the west Mountain.

A 17-year-old facesseven charges after a house party early Saturday.

The teenager, from Hamilton, attended a party on the west Mountain. All of the party-goers stayed over at the house after the party.

The teen woke up at some point and threatened to harm an 18-year-old female resident of the home.

Police say he allegedly also punched holes in walls, smashed doors and broke furniture.

The 18-year-old resident and her friends left the house and called police around 5 a.m.

The suspect followed them outside and damaged a car parked in the driveway. He took a set of keys from inside the home and fled in a vehicle that didn't belong to him.

The teenager was caught by police and arrested.

The 17-year-old is charged with theft of a motor vehicle, uttering threats and mischief and four other charges.

Police said alcohol was involved.
