Missing Dundas senior has 'distinct shuffle,' police start ground search

Hamilton police officers are searching for a 75-year-old man missing from a retirement home.

Franco Mamone was last seen Wednesday afternoon at the Governors Manor Retirement Homewhere he lives.

He is described as about five feet tall, with a thin build and about 120 pounds with short hair.

He speaks Italian, but can only be understood by close friends and family, police say. Mamone is often seen walking in downtown Dundas and has a "distinct shuffle," police say.

Officers have launched a ground search where the senior was last seen.

Police are asking people to look be on the lookout for Mamone.
