There's an anticipated 100,000 people flocking to downtown core for Supercrawl this Saturday, so getting around could be a bit of an adventure. With a little preparation, things should run just fine.

Here's a look at how to get around:

Parking

Organizers are encouraging people heading to the festival by car to use the City of Hamilton parking lot on Vine Street, located on the south side of the road just after McNab Street North. The lot costs $5 for the day.

There are also an additional ten lots operated by the City of Hamilton that will be open for business on both Friday or Saturday. For more information on these lots please check the Supercrawl app foriPhoneandAndroidand theSupercrawl map.

Free Bike Corral

But if you live in the city, Supercrawl organizers are advocating heading to the festival by foot or on a bike - so on Saturday, the Hamilton BIA has arranged for a free bike corral on the Gore Park Promenade.

Leaving your bike there is free, and there are just about 500 spots available.

Street Closures

James Street North will be closed to vehicle traffic on Friday from King Street to Barton beginning at noon. Both York Boulevard and Cannon Street will still be open to traffic where they cross James Street.

Then on Saturday, the road closure continues on James Street North from King Street heading north to Barton Street. York Boulevard will also be closed to oncoming traffic from Park Street onwards to Hughson.

GO Transit travel from Toronto

According to a rough estimate from organizers, about 10,000 people came out to last year's Supercrawl from Toronto. Most Lakeshore GO Trains run every 30 minutes from Union and the Hamilton 16 GO buses run between Toronto and Hamilton.

GO is also running special eastbound Lakeshore West train service following Supercrawl. In the early hours of September 14 and 15, special GO Trains will leave Hamilton GO Centre at 12:20 a.m., arriving at Union Station at 1:42.

More information on these extra trains can be found atgotransit.com.

Shuttle Buses

A free shuttle will be running between James Street North and the Green For Life Waterfront Stage, located at Pier 8 on the Waterfront, where acts like LeE HARVeY OsMOND and Young Rival are playing.

Two shuttles will pick up passengers at the corner of James Street North and Murray Street and travel north to the waterfront, before returning back to James and Murray. The shuttles will run on a regular basis over the course of Saturday's festivities.

The app and map

To make sure you're able to get around this weekend, the Supercrawl app will definitely help. It's available forAppleandAndroid, and features lineups, times and locations for what's happening.

Thisinteractive Supercrawl mapis a help, too. By clicking on the legend on the right hand side, you can see where exactly where vendors, food and stages are situated. Then you can click on each pin to find specifics.

Supercrawl is free and runs on Sept. 13 and 14 in downtown Hamilton.
