The last hours of the City Motor Hotel

Time is up for the City Motor Hotel.

It has stood since the 1960sbut on Monday, wreckers are set to start tearing down the infamous Hamilton landmark. The city-ordered demolition should take six weeks to complete.

"It's a delicate process," says John, the security guard on duty at the front of the site. "They'll dismantle it more than demolish it."
