Ticats sell out every home game for first time since 1973

For the first time in over four decades, the HamiltonTiger-Cats will have sold out every game played in Hamilton in one season.

After Sunday's contest against the Ottawa Red Blacks, the final home game of the 2015 regular season, the Ti-Cats will have sold out every home game this year, a feat they haven't achieved since 1973.

They averaged 24,164 fans at Tim Hortons Field this season, which has a capacity of 23,500.

It's the first full season for the team at the new stadium, which holds roughly 5,000 fewerpeople than the former Ivor Wynne Stadium. The Ticats played at Ivor Wynne for over half a century before it closed in 2012.

Now they're looking to keep their upcoming playoffgames at home as they take on the Ottawa Redblacks this Sunday.

Home field advantage will be on the line for the playoffs as both teams are tied at first place in the East heading into the match.
