Boxing Day brought Hamilton its first major snowfall of the season.

The flurries began to fly on Wednesday morning and continued all day into early Thursday.

Hamilton received a total of 13 cm of snow, according to Environment Canada.

On Thursday morning, the agency cancelled the special weather statement it had issued for Hamilton earlier in the week.

However, additional snow up to 2 cm is still possible for Hamilton on Thursday. Environment Canada says there's a 40 per chance of flurries.
