Hamilton artist sketches as RoboCop films

Famed Hamilton artist Dave Collier took advantage of the closing of James StreetNorth last week to do some sketching in the middle of the street.

James North was closed for the filming ofthe new RoboCop movie. From his spot in the centre of the street, Collier sketched Jamesville Ceramics and Paints.

Collier is a widely published cartoonist whose work has appeared across Canada. He has published multiple volumes of work, including the graphic novel Chimo, Hamilton Sketchbook and 2011's Collier's Popular Press, a compilation of 30 years of his newspaper cartoons.

Most recently, he contributed some sketches of Bruno, Saskatchewan for the book All Citizens, which will be published in November by Compendium Press.
