Hamilton woman charged after throwing vomit at cabbie

A 24-year-old Hamilton woman is facing charges after throwing her own vomit at a taxi driver.

A 24-year-old Hamilton woman is facing charges after throwing her own vomit at a taxi driver following a night of drinking.

Just after 2 a.m. on Saturday night, a drunk woman was riding in a taxi with a number of other people near Upper Wentworth and Kingfisher Road, when she got sick and started vomiting inside the cab, police say.

After being told she would have to pay a cleaning fee, the woman became upset and started hurling vomit and assaulting the driver, police say.

The woman tried to run away from the cab, but was located and arrested by police.

The woman was charged with assault level one and mischief under $5,000.
