4 charged after months-long drug investigation

Niagara police have laid a number of charges against four Ontario adults after a months-long drug investigation.

Niagara police have laida number of charges againstfour southern Ontario adults after amonths-long drug investigation.

Police said earlier this year that the investigation wastargeting people trafficking in controlled substances.

On Thursday, police concluded their investigation with the execution of six warrants.

Police said they seized cocaine,benzodiazepineandmarijuana valued at about $21,000.

Officers also seized drug trafficking paraphernalia, along with a 2011 Hyundai Genesis, as "offence-related" property.

As a result, four people aged 19, 20, 25 and 53 face a total of 13 charges.

Members of the Niagara Regional Police Special Investigative Services Morality Unit, the Opiate Education and Enforcement Unit and the Guns and Gangs and Grows Unitwere all involved in the investigation.
