Police searching for suspect after women wakes up to man sexually assaulting her

Hamilton police are searching for a suspect who they say sexually assaulted a 21-year-old woman in her home Friday morning.

Hamilton police are searching for a suspect after a woman was woken up Friday morning by a mansexually assaultingher.

Police said the suspect entered the victim's home in the area of King Street West and Sterling Street through a second storey window and proceeded to sexually assault the woman who was asleep at the time.

The woman woke up around 5:45 a.m. police said, adding that the suspect fled when the victimscreamed for help.

While the victim could not obtain much of a description of the suspect, she recalled seeing the person wearing a dark or black hoodie over their head, police said.
