Police say there was yet another shooting last weekend in Hamilton.

Police were called around 3 a.m. Monday to a housing complex on the Mountain, just south of the Lincoln Alexander Parkway, to investigate reports of "possible gun shots fired".

They found a man with minor injuries who wouldn't talk to policeand a vehicle that looked like it had been damaged by a bullet. Police said they also found several shell casings in the parking lot at the complex.

Police have interviewed several witnesses, but don't yet know who the injured man is, where he is now and what role he may have played in the shooting.

"At this time, there is no evidence to support this is connected to recent similar incidents," Hamilton police said in a press release.

They ask anyone else with information to get in touch with police, or to contact Crime Stoppers.

The shooting marks the sixth local shooting since last Thursday night.
