Police release composite image of suspect in Bruce Trail sexual assault

Police say a woman was jogging along the trailnear the Dundurn Stairs around 4 p.m. Wednesday when she heard someone calling out. When the woman stopped she was struck, then assaulted, according to investigators.

Hamilton police have released a composite image of the suspect they're searching for in connection with a sexual assault on the Bruce Trail.

Police say a woman was jogging along the trailnear the Dundurn Stairs around 4 p.m. Wednesday when she heard someone calling out. When the woman stopped she was struck, then assaulted, according to investigators.

The woman was injured in the attack, but wastreated at a hospital thenreleased.

The suspect is described as a white man with a thin build who stands about 6' tall. He has short or shaved grey hair and facial hair and was wearing a red shirt T-shirt and black baseball cap at the time of the attack.

Police are asking anyone with information about the incident to contact Det. John Tselepakis from the Sexual Assault Unit at 905-540-5545.
