Violence in nursing homes.

The stories are not uncommon.

Elderly patients, often with dementia, lashing out.

Violently assaulting other patients and staff.

Krystal Oleson has a unique perspective.

Her father is a patient with dementia at the Kamloops Seniors Village.

He has had outbursts, but she says her father is not entirely to blame and that the incidents could have easily been avoided.
