Operation Red Nose kicks off its 20th campaign in Kamloops

Bringing you home for the holidays. That's the theme of this year's Operation Red Nose campaign. There was an event to kick the campaign off the 20th year in Kamloops.

For the 20th anniversary Operation Red Nose held a festive prohibition-themed kickoff event. Councillors Ken Christian and Dieter Dudy along with Mayor Peter Milobar and Transportation Minister Todd Stone got in the spirit. (CBC)

Operation Red Nose kicked off its campaign in Kamloops yesterday.

Starting next weekend, volunteers will slip into red vests and get behind the wheel to make sure you get home safely if you've been drinking.

This year marks 20 years of Operation Red Nose in Kamloops.

Daybreak's Jennifer Chrumka was there.

She spoke on the road with Katie Klassen, Operation Red Nose program coordinator in Kamloops, and Ingrid Brakop with ICBC.
