Vancouver meeting looks at overdose crisis
Dealing with a crisis. The BC Centre for Disease Control held a large meeting yesterday with dozens of experts and interest groups to try and stop the staggering number of opioid overdoses across the province.
80 research experts met yesterday to try and find a solution to the public health emergency.
How do you stop a crisis?That's the question public health authorities are struggling with right now.Fentanyl and other opioid overdoses have already taken more than 308 lives in B.C this year already.The BC Centre for Disease Control held a meeting with 80 research experts, stakeholders and medical professionals yesterday.The goal was to tackle this crisis.Dr. Mark Tyndall is the Executive Medical Director for the BC Centre for Disease Control.
