Girl, 7, raises over 20,000 meals for The Food Bank of Waterloo Region

"So far we've raised lots," said Cambridge'sAnna Puopolo in an interview with CBC Kitchener-Waterloo.

Intwo years of campaigning, the7-year-oldhas raised more than 20,000 meals for The Food Bank of Waterloo Region. That'sjust over half of her goal of $5,000.

"I feel really glad but I think we can raise more," she said. "I think everyone should have a nice meal."

Anna's fatherJosephsays he's pleased with the progress his daughter has made to raise money.

"We're totally proud, but at the end of the day it's about the result and helping people," he said.

Wendi Campbell, CEO of The Food Bank of Waterloo Region, said they appreciate all the work Anna has done.

"It's fantastic to see the impact she continues to have in the community and we thank her very much for the support," Campbell said.
