Region of Waterloo Library goers will be able to borrow the internet

People living in rural Waterloo Region will have the chance to borrow an internet hotspot device from their local Region of Waterloo Library as of Oct. 17.

People living in rural Waterloo Region will have the chance to borrow theinternet from their local Region of Waterloo Library as of Oct. 17.

Region of Waterloo Library (RWL) card holders will be able toborrow onewirelesshotspotdevicethat gives access to the internetfor a week.

"This means freedom for township residents."Kelly Bernstein, manager of library services said in a release.

"Many rural areas in Waterloo Region are underserved by high-speed internet providers, and borrowing a hotspot from RWL will enable residents to access online services from home and away."

A user can connectlaptops and other electronic devices to the internetthrough the device remotely, whereverBell cellular service is available.
