BufferBox closing, transferring expertise to Google

The team behind BufferBox, a Waterloo parcel delivery start-up, says it is dismantling the brand.

The team behindBufferBox, a Waterloo parcel delivery start-up, says it is dismantling the brand.

BufferBoxwas acquired by Google a little over a year ago.

In a blog post, the team says they are transferring their knowledge and expertise to Google for new online retail ventures suchas Google Shopping Express, which is currently offered in the Bay Area.

The company was founded by Jay Shah,Mike McCauley andAditiya Bali, threeUniversity of Waterloo grads.

BufferBoxwill no longer be accepting new signups and the last day the company's warehouses will be accepting packages is March 31st.

The last day people can pick up their packages from BufferBox locations is April 21st.
