Murdoch Mysteries set equipment and drugs found in Cambridge home during police raid

A search warrant executed at a Cambridge home uncovered drugs as well as a commercial generator that had been stolen from the set of Murdoch Mysteries when it was filming in the city earlier this year, police say.

The investigation into theTodd Street home began in September, when police arrested a man as he left the residence.

Officers found him with 0.5 grams of crystal methamphetamine and a stolen bicycle, police said. Hewas charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of stolen property under $5,000.

Further investigation led police to execute a search warrant at the home on Friday.

The generator, worth $4,500, was being used to power the residence on Todd Street because the home didn't have hydro.

Police said officers also found 19.94 grams of suspected cocaine, 0.17 grams of suspected fentanyl and two large marijuana plants.

Police also seized seven bicycles and a variety of other property and tools officers suspected were stolen.

The investigation is continuing and charges are expected.
