Cambridge federal election candidates discuss cost of living, opioid crisis

Five candidates running for Parliament in Cambridge discussed how they could keep the cost of living down for people, and what the federal government should do to address the opioid crisis, during a panel discussion Monday.

The five who joinedThe Morning Edition were incumbent candidate Liberal Bryan May, Conservative candidate Sunny Attwal, NDPcandidate Scott Hamilton, Green Party candidate Michele Braniff and People's Party candidate David Haskell.

In the first question, candidates were asked about the cost of living and what theirparty will do to ensure itdoesn't become too high for residents in Cambridge.

The second question was about the ongoing opioid crisis, how it's impacted Cambridge, and what the candidates would like to see happen on that issue.
