Police have arrested a man who allegedly displayed a collapsible baton during an altercation with another man in downtown Guelph earlier this week.

Police have arrested aman who allegedlydisplayed a collapsible baton during an altercation with another man in downtown Guelph earlier this week.

The altercation took place Sundayat 90 Carden Street andmarks the second major incident of the year at the building.Last montha police stand-off with a 53-year-old man who barricaded himself in his apartment sawCarden Street East closed for over 15 hours.

A 32-year-old Guelph manhas been charged with carrying a concealed weapon, weapons dangerous and two counts of breach ofprobation.

He is being held in custody pending a bail hearing Friday.
