Chris Hadfield challenges Canadians to make New Year's resolutions

"There are problems with everything and nothing's yet perfect. But thatshouldn't be cause to bemoan, it should be cause to achieve,"Hadfieldsaidin avideo titled "An Astronaut's Guide to Optimism" that waspublished to YouTube Saturday.
The video, which has already racked up over 200,000 views, featuresHadfieldwalking through a cafe, running through a list of scientific, health and philanthropicsuccess stories of the past century, and urging people to commit to making a difference.
"When thinking if you're going to be optimistic this year, remember, nobody changes the world on their own," saidHadfield, who started working as an adjunct professor at the University of Waterloo earlier this year.
