CBC News reveals list of rail crossing dangers near Guelph

CBC News has learned that rail crossings near Guelph are high on the list of the 500 most dangerous rail crossings in Canada, but none in the city itself made the list. The most dangerous nearby crossings are in Halton and Wilmot.

The crossing on Trafalgar Road in Halton ranked as the 32nd most dangerous in Canada.

The list was created from 2014 Transport Canada data, generated by special software designed to predict potential accident "hot spots." CBC News has earned that the research was usually withheld from municipal authorities and not widely released.
