Flair announces more frequent flights between Waterloo region and Vegas starting this winter

Flair Airlines plans to double the number of weekly flights from the Region of Waterloo airport to Las Vegas starting the end of October.

Vegas flights in addition to new flights to sunny destinations like Cancun, Orlando and Vancouver

Snowbirds from Waterloo region will have more flight options this winter.

Flair Airlines plans to double the number of weekly flights from the Region of Waterloo International Airportto Las Vegas startingthe end of October. It will see flights four times a week, up from the current two.

This comes soon after an earlier announcement from Flair that there will also be three new weekly flightsheading toPuerto Vallarta beginning Dec.16.

Stephen Jones, CEO of Flair Airlines, said in a media call Tuesday that Flair's new sun destinations will not come with vacation packages.

"People are able toput together great deals themselves with all of the internet booking options that are there," he said.

"I thinkwe've seen around the world that the whole package tour business model isunder a fair bit of pressure. So we just do what we do well, which is connect people to the places and experiences they love."

One-way fares from Las Vegas to Waterloo region will start at $59.

Flair Airlines will add a total of 13 new routes to its winter schedule from cities around Canada, including Edmonton, Vancouver and Montreal which will be getting daily flights to Cancun starting from Oct.29.
